Lisa also designed a bespoke liquor & drinks cabinet. Inspired by Dutch abstract artist Piet Mondrian, colours were selected to complement the Tom Dixon lighting over the island and various sized panels contrasted the uniform kitchen design.
Lisa Melvin Design and Springburn Joinery join forces to create bespoke furniture tailored to clients exacting requirements.
Media Entertainment Centre & Contemporary
Wood Burner
Cleverly hidden away the media entertainment centre, created using a mixture of natural and man-made materials ranging from glass, granite and Xylo Cleaf, is accessed using a HAWA bi fold door system. The secret drawers and hidden shelving are ideal for housing comfy throws for cold winter evenings, firewood and board games. The structured surface pattern, Spigato, is inspired by the world of fashion reinterpreting and reshaping the classic motif of tweed and geometrical design. A Dik Geurts Vision 100 wood burner by Wood Burner Workshop was incorporated into the design and gives out a very toasty 10kw of heat.
Liquor & Drinks Cabinet
A ‘one of a kind ‘ commissioned piece of furniture. Secret bronze glass doors on the side of the cabinet reveal storage for glasses highlighted by LED lighting. The front of the cabinet boasts a Fisher & Paykel CoolDrawer featuring Fridge, Freezer, Chiller and Wine Cooler temperature settings. Sitting directly above the CoolDrawer the twin doors disappear to reveal a bronze glass clad liquor unit with ambient LED lighting underneath the shelves. The cabinet carries a Mondrian theme with silver and bronze glass and driftwood cladding panels.
